When writing about a file that won't import, please say which payment processor and country it comes from. Don't send files containing your customers' details; the column headings and one example row with the details replaced are enough.
Common questions
How do I export my payments from PayPal?
In PayPal, open Reports, then Activity download. Choose Completed payments or Balance affecting, pick the date range, choose CSV, and download. Exports in any language work.
How do I export my payments from Stripe?
In your Stripe Dashboard, open Payments, click Export, choose the date range and all columns, and download the CSV.
StatementPal asked me which column is which. Why?
Occasionally an export is laid out in a way StatementPal doesn't recognise. Match each item to the right column once and StatementPal remembers it for files laid out the same way.
Why are some payments hidden?
Money that isn't a customer paying you, such as bank deposits, currency conversions, pending payments or partial refunds, is kept aside. Tick Include other money received to see and invoice them anyway.
How do I put my client's address on invoices?
Click the client's name, or the No address tag, and add their address and VAT or tax number. It's used on every invoice for that client. Stripe exports usually include the address already.
Can I change an invoice after downloading it?
No. An invoice is fixed once it has been downloaded, so what you sent always matches your records. Until then, it updates with your latest details. If an issued invoice is wrong, void it; it keeps its number and is marked VOID.
How do I upgrade or cancel?
Click Upgrade in StatementPal. Plans are billed by the platform you use StatementPal through, so change or cancel them in the account you bought through; for the Mac app, that's your Apple account.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
For online versions, everything is permanently deleted 30 days after you uninstall or close your account. On the Mac, your data lives on your Mac, so removing the app or its data removes it. Reinstall within 30 days and it's all still there.
